Our mission is to provide members with education and resources that will enable them to enhance their professional growth and prosperity; and, to promote and enforce ethical standards and to be a continuing source of information concerning issues impacting real estate thereby encouraging and protecting private property rights.

Headquartered in REALTOR Square, the Durham Regional Association of REALTORS is dedicated to serving our members and any consumer seeking real estate information in the Greater Triangle area, including Durham, Orange, Person, Franklin, Granville, Vance and Warren counties.

Below you will find the guidelines for joining DRAR as a REALTOR Member or Associate Member.
To ascertain that you are applying for the appropriate type of membership, please review the Types of Membership page.
Attend a New Member Orientation program and complete an online Code of Ethics class within 60 days of the date of application.
Provisional membership is granted, subject to subsequent review by the Board of Directors, to new REALTOR applicants who have started the process of completing the above requirements.
REALTOR membership is extended to individuals holding an active real estate or appraisal license.
Licensees must be fully engaged in the real estate profession and associated with an established real estate firm in the State of North Carolina, or a contiguous state.
REALTOR membership at the Durham Regional Association of REALTORS (DRAR) includes exclusive products, programs and services that automatically extend to the North Carolina Association of REALTORS (NCR) and the National Association of REALTORS (NAR), allowing use of NAR's federally registered "REALTOR" trade name.
Follow safety best practices when showing property, conducting an open house, working in the office and driving alone or with clients or customers.
Marketing and Advertising - keep materials polished and professional, limit personal information.

Information for new agents/appraisers on how to subscribe to Triangle MLS (TMLS) through a participating firm.
Please note: Participation in TMLS is by Firm only.
TMLS Orientation and MLS System Training classes for new subscribers are offered only online.
The training must be successfully completed with thirty (30) days of applying to the TMLS.
Please print the completed form and send a copy to our office.
If we cannot verify that your real estate license is active and affiliated with your Broker-In-Charge, you will not get MLS access.
This course is approved for 4 hours of NCREC CE elective credit, and fulfills a core class requirement for the Workforce Housing Specialist Program.
This course fulfills the NAR REALTOR Code of Ethics Requirement and counts as a 4-hour CE Elective.
