I was born and raised in the Midwest, St Louis MO to be exact. My childhood was a very happy one, and my family, never missing an opportunity for a reason to smile or laugh, helped me form the human being I have become. I have lived in many parts of the US, and with each move I have learned more about what makes us all so different but yet so very similar.

I am the type of person who prefers to catch more flies with honey than vinegar and I tend to lead more from encouragement rather than the opposite. My dad used to tell me "just because you CAN do something doesn't necessarily mean you SHOULD do something". He was so right - it's true that you can act as your own representative in finding a home, filling out some papers, selling your home - but the myriad things you don't realize you DON'T know have a weird way of of really messing things up.

For example, even though you own a kitchen knife, would you operate on yourself for surgery? So, finding the right and responsive real estate agent to assist you in purchasing or selling the right property can be the difference between a happy, stress-free home buying/selling experience, and an unhappy, stressful experience.

There is a lot of interest in buying short sales or buying a foreclosed home these days.
A lot of information, some good and some bad, is floating around about the subject.
Often the information offered is for sale, with the promise that you can make a lot of money with little effort once you know "the secret formula".
The fact is that there are no secrets, and to make money does require effort.
What's a "short sale"?
Property being listed as a "short sale" is one in which the property owner (borrower) is marketing their home, subject to their OWN lender's approval of the sale.
