The Livingston County Association of REALTORS serves as an advocate for Livingston County Real Estate Agents and links prospective home buyers with qualified, professional and ethical REALTORS. From training and classes to political advocacy, we have a wealth of information for our members. Learn more here. A major part of our role is to be an advocate for real estate professionals and to provide professional standards and compliance in Livingston County. The National Association of REALTORS and its affiliated Institutes, Societies, and Councils provide a wide-range of programs and services that assist members in increasing skills, proficiency, and knowledge.

Designations and certifications acknowledging experience and expertise in various real estate sectors are awarded by NAR and each affiliated group upon completion of required courses. For most people, buying a home is the largest financial investment they will ever make.

The Livingston County Association of REALTORS serves as an advocate for Livingston County Real Estate Agents as well as linking prospective home buyers with qualified, professional and ethical REALTORS.
We pride ourselves on providing a top quality experience for both the REALTOR and the client.
Our comprehensive services include numerous educational opportunities, marketing support, community involvement and more.
Our mission is to adhere to the REALTOR Code of Ethics; to provide members with the resources, programs and services necessary to conduct a professional and successful business; to encourage cooperation among members and to be the voice of real estate through its advocacy of private property rights.
The office is located across the Street from O'Conner's Deli and next door to the Woodland Lake Hotel.

LCAR will be recognized by the public as the advocate of private property rights through adherence to the REALTOR Code of Ethics; providing its member with resources, programs and services necessary to conduct an educated, professional and successful business.
Realcomp's launch of the SentriLock Electronic Lockboxes (ELBs) took place over the past few weeks!
ELBs are being assigned to properties by Realcomp Subscribers who have been trained and received their electronic boxes.
If you plan to show a property that has a SentriLock ELB, it's important that you download the SentriSmart app, make your profile and understand how to open the box with your Smart phone/device and the SentriSmart app.

NAR opposes discrimination in housing based on race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status sexual orientation, gender identity, and national origin.
This policy is embodied in NAR's Code of Ethics.
NAR also authorizes sanctions in response to a finding that a member has violated any fair housing law, including local and state laws that prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity.
NAR policy is to support equal opportunity on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity and the NAR Code of Ethics was amended in 2010 and 2013, to include this updated policy in the Code of Ethics.
Any person, whether a member or not, having reason to believe that a member is guilty of any conduct subject to disciplinary action, may file a complaint in writing with the secretary of the Association of REALTORS, dated and signed by the complainant, stating the facts on which it is based, provided that the complaint is filed within one hundred eighty (180) days after the facts constituting the matter complained of could have been known in the exercise of reasonable diligence.
The REALTORS Code of Ethics consists of seventeen (17) Articles.
