Mr. Hughes' first project was a build-to-suit for the Music Institute of North Texas in Frisco, Texas. Mr. Hughes represented Sabre Industries, Inc. on a multi-state site selection search for their second $20 million steel fabrication and manufacturing plant for their power transmission pole division.

Settling on Sioux City, Iowa, Mr. Hughes teamed with Rick Hughes, Cushman & Wakefield, to negotiate a comprehensive economic incentive package with the State of Iowa and the City of Sioux City to provide for 150 acres of land and other incentives for the construction of a 300,000 SF, multi-building manufacturing campus.The development is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2013.

Hughes Commercial, announced the first industrial development in HRH Hillsboro Partners' 78 acre master planned Hillsboro Rail Park. The first client in this 1,500,000 square foot rail served park will be Johns Manville (JM), a global building and specialty products manufacturer and a Berkshire Hathaway Company.

Craig Hughes has been involved in all aspects of industrial and retail development virtually his entire 25-year plus commercial real estate career.
Beginning in the late 1980's while a Division Controller with Trammell Crow Company; Mr. Hughes was integrally involved in the planning, budgeting and construction accounting of millions of square feet of speculative industrial development and industrial built-to-suit developments though out the North Texas Region for institutional clients including Principal Financial Group, Amberjack (State Farm's real estate investment entity), Equitable Real Estate and INVESCO and Fortune 500 clients including Stanley Tool Works and Business Interiors.
Craig Hughes's tenure as Division Controller with Trammell Crow Company was as the focal point between ownership, management, leasing, construction, property management and accounting.
This interaction with all phases of a national commercial real estate company set a solid foundation and allowed Mr. Hughes to "hit the ground running" as he transitioned his role from the company's CPA to marketing and brokerage.
Mr. Hughes was a perennial top producer for Holt Lunsford Commercial completing over 40 commercial real estate transactions on behalf of various institutional landlords for each of the years 2000, 2001 and 2003.
Hughes Commercial's primary focus is to first gain a thorough understand of our client's interests and real estate needs prior to starting a Tenant Representation assignment through tenant interviews, tours of existing facilities and meetings with key company personnel.

Throughout Craig Hughes's career he has been involved in numerous land and building acquisitions as well as dispositions of excess real estate for his clients including manufacturing facilities, distribution centers, and excess land holdings.
Clients that Mr. Hughes has assisted with asset dispositions include Johnson & Johnson Healthcare Services in the sale of a 150,000 square foot distribution center, NRG Energy in the sale of 2,500 acres of land, General Electric in the sale of an 82,790 square foot manufacturing facility, Folgers Coffee Company in the sale of a 300,000 square foot, multi-building, food processing campus on 200 acres of land among other asset dispositions.
