Our firm was founded by Tony Utter, CCIM, JD, who brought 48 years of dedicated commercial real estate experience to the practice after a prior career as a practicing civil and criminal litigation attorney. Early in his career, Tony managed property and leasing operations for a 280,000-square-foot shopping center and other commercial assets at Builders, Inc., a subsidiary of Garvey Enterprises. He then spent 24 years as Vice President of leasing and sales at Transamerican Management Company, overseeing transactions for more than one million square feet of office and retail properties for local, national, and international owners. Tony earned his prestigious Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation in October 2005 after completing three years of required coursework and testing. His professional accolades include 24 consecutive years of the Wichita Area Association of Realtors Masters Circle Award, four Top Production Unit Awards, the 2009 Broker of the Year Award, and the Presidents Distinguished Service Award in 2007 and 2009.
Tony also held leadership roles including Past President of the Kansas CCIM Chapter and Past President of the Wichita Area Association of Realtors, and chaired the Building Task Force for WAARs downtown Wichita headquarters opening in 2008. Following Tonys unexpected passing in January 2026, his wife Carolyn and son Tim Utter have taken on leadership roles to carry forward his legacy of exceptional client service. Tim joined the family business in 2017 with 18 years of financial industry experience in sales, client services, and management, and now owns Utter Commercial Property Management while working toward his own CCIM designation. Our youngest son, Chris Utter, will join the firm in fall 2026 to further expand our teams expertise and capacity to support commercial real estate clients. We remain deeply committed to delivering tailored, transparent, and results-driven solutions to every landlord, property owner, tenant, buyer, and seller we serve across the Wichita market.
