Jackson Real Estate was founded by Evelyn M. Jackson in 1964. Melanie Jackson McLane remembers, as a child, helping her mom take pictures, put up signs, and as she got old enough, answer the phone and type appraisals for her Mom. Originally located in the family home, first at 348 Washington Ave., and later at 350 Washington Ave., the office was moved to downtown Jersey Shore in the late 1960's.
The original building where our office was located, on South Main St., burned in 1971, so we moved around the corner to Allegheny St. After the 1972 flood, redevelopment took the building where the office was (Santino's Restaurant is on that site today). In 1975, 225 N. Main St., near the Moose Club was purchased, and the office was there for about 10 years.
In 1984, the building at 226-232 Allegheny St., between Santander Bank and the Jersey Shore Post Office was purchased, and the office has been there ever since. Our founder died in 2001, but the business has continued under the ownership of Melanie Jackson McLane and the late Jim McLane.

Buying Process
Report
Buying a house is an extremely important decision for a consumer.
The wrong choices can have long standing financial ramifications.
The best advice I can offer is to first select an honest and trustworthy agent to represent you.
In Pennsylvania, real estate agents may legally represent the buyer, the seller, neither, or both Dual agency is what occurs when either one agent or one company represent both buyer and seller in the same transaction.
Some companies practice designated agency, which is when one agent in the company is designated to represent the buyer, and another one the seller.
