After ten years with a major real estate brokerage firm, Nick Barela founded a boutique commercial real estate company focused on who we like to work with best; local owners, sellers, entrepreneurs, individuals, and companies. Republic Commercial Real Estate is focused on the local market and works diligently on behalf of individuals and organizations vested in the community.

Commercial real estate needs are a challenge. There is nothing more rewarding than defining the objective, creating the plan, and then working the plan to completion. I have navigated complex transactions involving multiple factors like tenant negotiations, construction budgets, and long term financing. My experience helps me personalize the needs of my clients.

A good experience in commercial real estate is in the fine print. My passion is to dot all the I's and cross all the T's when navigating improvement and construction assignments. It has been said, "a contract is only as good as the person who signs it". I believe this to be true so I'll prepare a contract to protect you from the "worst case scenario".

Douglas started his real estate career in 1998.
Prior to this, Douglas worked in Warsaw, Poland helping create Poland's first westernized video retail chain.
Douglas is a graduate of The Ohio State University and is a licensed real estate agent.

Represented BTC, LLC in leasing 100% of 8354 Princeton Glendale Road, West Chester, Ohio after much difficulty in prior leasing efforts.
Represented Angel Scapes in the purchase of a 9.45 acre site at 2116 Timber Lane, Goshen, Ohio for a new headquarters.
Represented M-Tec Systems Inc. in the purchase of new Headquarters at 12077 Sheraton Lane in Springdale, Ohio.
Micah began his real estate career in 2008.
Prior to this, Micah worked in the non-profit sector providing both operational logistics and management expertise.
Micah is a licensed real estate agent and a designated property management specialist.
Currently manages over 750,000 square feet of mixed use real estate including but not limited to medical office, retail, warehouse/ industrial, residential.
Represented Liberty Medical, LLC in the construction of a 34,000 square foot Medical office building in Liberty Township, Ohio.
Initially worked as the assistant administrator at Eastgate Health Care Center in Eastgate Ohio.
Assisted the administrator in the management of a 189 bed licensed nursing home facility which employed more than 100 individuals.
Administrator of HillSpring Health Care Center in Lebanon, Ohio.
Responsible for the management of the licensed nursing facility where I managed more than 20 individuals and was responsible for the budget in excess of $1,000,000.00 per year.
Responsible for various legal projects as assigned by attorneys at Keating, Muething & Klekamp primarily working in the Real Estate Department.
Proper Landlord Representation is more than listing property in databases, putting up a sign, and waiting for the phone to ring.
In this difficult real estate environment, with falling prices and declining rents, one must be dedicated to making consistent prospect calls.
Our agents are dedicated to this technique and make between 30 and 50 phone calls each business day.
It may not seem like much but our experience and past success demonstrates it adds up to make a significant difference.
