All real estate licensees are not the same. Only real estate licensees who are members of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS are properly called REALTORS. They proudly display the REALTOR "" logo on the business card or other marketing and sales literature. REALTORS are committed to treat all parties to a transaction honestly. REALTORS subscribe to a strict code of ethics and are expected to maintain a higher level of knowledge of the process of buying and selling real estate.

An independent survey reports that 84% of home buyers would use the same REALTOR again. While, GNIAR is a member driven Association, we strive to be the voice for real estate in Northwest Indiana. Not only do we give the public the tools to search for a properties for sale online through our Multiple Listing Service, but we hope to become your resource for all things real estate related from finding a REALTOR to open houses in the area.

We also serve several hundred from LaPorte County, IN; Cook County, IL and Southwestern Michigan.
The mission of GNIAR is to help our members be productive in their business and achieve ongoing profitability through targeted education and ethical and professional standards.
We are the visible voice for the real estate interests of the communities in Northwest Indiana.
GNIAR uses its mission to advocate a vision of the future that is in its members and neighbors best interests.
We strive to maintain an influential presence within its professional, regional and economical community to be a recognized source of information relative to regional economics, community dynamics and real estate market statistics.

The Elections Committee is tasked with requesting applications for candidacy from the GNIAR general membership for open GNIAR Board of Directors Officers and Directors positions.
At least three months prior to the annual election, a committee of seven REALTOR members is appointed by the GNIAR President with the approval of the Board of Directors.
Your local state and national association advocates every day on behalf of the nation's REALTOR and property owners.
We work for you by advocating for fedral policy initiatives that strengthen the ability of Americans to own, buy, and sell real property.
We also work with you, by providing a wide variety of resources to foster and harness the grassroots strength of the REALTOR Party.
